    LP fuel problem

On a 1958 JD 730 LP, when you turn on the vapor valve and then turn on the switch to turn on the fuel strainer, there is propane coming out of the air intake; you can also hear it bubbling through the oil bath as the vapor comes out. Is this a problem with the gaskets in the converter or...

1958 730 LP not throttling correctly

This tractor is finally running again after about 15 years and the motor being locked up. It cranks up great and idles great. However, when you try to throttle it up, be it easing it up or just pushing it up quickly, the tractor tries to die. If you immediately throttle it down, it will not...

    730 clutch problems

    Electrical question

The tractor is a 730 LP that I put an alternator on. I have a problem with the alternator and coil getting hot. It does not do this all the time; I would say about 10-15% of the time. I still need to put a diode on it so when the switch is turned off, the alternator doesn't keep it running...

    730 clutch problems

My first question would be; How much are you tightening up the castle nuts? It doesn't take much to get it adjusted out. A notch or two is usually enough once they have been adjusted and kinks worked out with placing in new discs.

    730 john deere lp tractor

My Dad and I finally got the 730LP we have been working on mostly weekends and such back together and running after 2 years. The engine was locked tight. We wound up having to do a bore job. It was bored out, sleeved and bored to standard since we got the pistons out and he difficulty of...

    PTO won't stop

Another possibility is that the brake is not adjusted properly.

    730 LP ignition parts

I was wondering what yall thought was the best place to get replacement ignition parts. I need the whole distributor as the lobe is too pitted and rusted to be used. I need the whole works, which I can find easy enough, but was not so sure on the actual distributor. Thanks Jared K
