    3000 Gas Ignition Switch

Quick update, the switch I received seems to be mistakenly labeled by the manufacturer - terminal configuration and 4 switch positions are like what would be expected for a diesel with heater. YT customer service helped me out and the correct switch is on the way.

    3000 Gas Ignition Switch

1973 Gas 3000. Factory wiring as far as I can tell. Current switch is an obvious replacement, 5 position, 7 pole deal that has corrosion around the exterior and isn't reliable. Blades for two terminals have been cut off. I ordered this switch from this site...

3000 PTO Clutch Adjustment or Problem

I have a 1973 3000. Thanks for all the advice and assistance over the years. It runs great, handles a 6.5' snowblower, 6' heavy blade, 6' mower, and 8' disk all very well. Just about perfect for me. When I put the machine back together a few years back both transmission and pto engaged and...

    Are 3000 fords cold natured

Zenith carb 3 cylinder 3000, fires in one crank with choke down to zero, and within a few cranks down to about -20. The battery has more trouble below that. Not cold blooded.

    help! 3cyl experts

My 3000 had to be majiggered in place. The nut, rubber sleeve and all that sits up the tube a little way. The tube on mine had to be pushed down where it bends over the bell housing, allowing it to bend up inside the Threaded bore in order to enter the inner bore at the bottom of the threaded...

    3000 ford bush hog width

My 3000 gas handles 6 foot in second gear with ease. Heavy tall brush or very heavy tall grass like reed canary will stall in second, bog in first, so I take a partial width. If I needed a brush hog and a 7 came available at a fair price I wouldn't hesitate.

    Gas vs. Diesel

A replacement Zenith (or properly rebuilt Holley) along with Pertronix makes for a great running, easy starting when very cold, 3 cyl 3000. Diesel would bring an extra 500 to 1000 here in Northern Mi.

    ford 3cyl gas muffler

I paid $25 for an oval muffler from the local shop that would normally go under a compact sedan or something. Much quieter than the round one that was on the tractor, but still loud.

    Ford 3000 Select-O-Speed 3 point snowblower

I'm at the East end of the UP with a little less than half your annual. I have a 8 speed trans 3000 with a 78 inch blower. Reverse at pto speed is adequate to about 10 inches of dry snow. Probably 6 inches if it is wet. When the snow is deeper and the tractor starts to bog, I feather...

Don't know where you are located or if it will work on the lcg but I have a 730 series with front pump available.

3400 fan belt with front mounted pump

Has anyone tried a segmented belt? I took the loader and pump off my 3000.
