My 2000 3cyl was leaking hydraulic around the compression nut so I watched the you tube and ordered the parts from the same company. I cannot get the hi-press to thread into the pump. Both the new nut and the old nut will spin on with it off the tractor, but cannot get either to start on the tractor. Since this doesn't look like one of Ford's best ideas, I figure someone else has had this problem. I need all the help I can get. When I run a straight edge across the 2 bolt holes in the middle of the pump it makes it appear that the tube is bent down a bit, but it is pretty hard to bend so I am not sure that is the problem. I have tried the nut with the pump fast on the tractor and with nuts loose so I could wiggle it around.
I probably should have left sleeping dogs lie, but I know unattended leaks mean some day I will forget and run it out of fluid so I want to get if fixed. I have to at this point.
