    530 oil leak

    Talking trade on a 530,owner says there is an oil leak between the transmission and diff. I have not seen a leak at this point on any JDs I have owned. Any idea what might cause a leak at this point. Thanks for any help. Does not sound like an easy fix.

    Thanks for all the comments. Guess I will just start tightening and run it and watch it for a while. Maybe I should try the magnets, elininates all the tightening!!!!! .

    Thanks for the comments, but with the bolts on the inside of the flywheel it a little harder to get wrenches on the nuts. Thats why I was asking how to get them real tight. I changed one on my 52 AO but they were on the outside where I could get my torque wrench on them easy. Thanks

    I removed the flywheel to replace the cork washer. Had a little oil leaking. I was told the flywheel bolts should be torqued to 150 ftlb.     Buickand Deere-- What do you mean by a STAT? I have Autolite 3116 plugs and new solid core wires. Did complete tuneup all new items and all fluids changed. also using Sae 30 wt oil.
