    I’m planing a full service on my JD 50 and am unsure of what fluids to use for the rear end/transmission and the PTO clutch? Would it be ok to use a JDM20C or equivalent in both the rear end and the PTO clutch?

    I haven’t been around a lot of M’s, but I believe the single Touch O Matic was on the standard M’s and the dual Touch O Matic was on the MT and MI models. To convert the single Touch O Matic to a dual I would assume that the entire rock shaft assembly (Touch O Matic) would have to changed.

    I tried hauling my new model 50 today and found that the rear tread is set to wide to fit on my trailer. Could someone point me in the right direction about adjusting the rear tread width?

    I just purchased this 1953 John Deere 50 (serial number 5005947) it has a single front wheel and a three point. I am wondering which model of three point hitch is on my tractor, any information would be appreciated.

    That’s the same Mag that was on the tractor when I purchased it, I may try to rebuild that Mag and see if it starts any easier than with the Wico C.
