John Deere 730 Electric start

I have been have been working on my electric start 730 trying to solve some issues. I was wondering if anyone has a copy or downloadable version of Service Bulletin 268 that they would be willing to share?

What problems are you experiencing with the JD 24 volt system? The JD service bulletin pertaining to 24 volt wiring is available to download & view because I just completed that task.

I had a the wire the I have circled short out against the tractor, and now none of the electrical on the tractor is working. I am also unsure of what these are that are sitting on top of the starter as there are not listed in the wiring diagram?

Those objects with 2 posts are circuit breakers that were adding in a field installed kit from JD in an effort to help control fires started by electrical shorts. You are correct in that there are no photos of those circuit breakers in a JD 730 parts catalog. Wire circled in your photo should only control 1/2 of your tractors electrical system BUT for starter to operate wire on each circuit breaker must have 12 volts.

I tested the circuit breakers with my multimeter and all terminals read 12volts. There is a wire coming off the breaker and going to a screw in the voltage regulator, I have a new voltage regulator and it does not have this screw in the side, the new voltage regulator has a ground terminal instead. Which terminal should I hook this wire to?

Are you sure voltage regular is for a JD 24 volt electrical system? I would think circuit breaker supply should be attached to bat A or B terminal on ign switch.
I’m not sure, all the electrical worked before except for a draw that was running the battery’s down if it sat for more than a couple days, and I was unable to get the generator light to come on.
