As far as I know the 830 industrial all had the heavy duty snap ring truck rim and tire on the front. but there may have been an order exception. How bout some pictures. wish I had time to work on mine but seems there is always farm work ahead of it. Dan has your answer to the oil capacities.

    Value questions

well first thing I noticed on the gp is that is has a rare beaner front axle on it. without doing some research in my library cant confirm if its a genuine beaner tractor or not but it does give it a lot more potential to restore it rather than wreck it. It looks like factory front round spokes...

    jd_adict Utility 3020 question?

No, not all had the adjustable axle. the fixed cast axle was an option and also it is turned around backwards so it really turns short. I actually wish the restored one had the axle turned backwards as well because to me it looks better in a utility.

    jd_adict Utility 3020 question?

the long lever on front LH side of tractor locks out clutch to transmission. it has identical little black knob to put it back from locked to forward position if you hold your tongue the correct way and pull back on lever and knob first. It works identical to the rowcrop tractors. I remember my...

nice work mcgiver, pat yourself on the back. I like it. thats what makes the world go around the next guy would be complaining of a $100 service call. its neat to see someone respond to a major breakdown with a simple fix just keep in mind safety first.

Hey b&d of all the jd wagons I have collected I have come across one with rear drums and brakes on it. the outer hub is larger and called the hour glass hub because of it different than the most common cast jd hubs. if I recall the cable is there to run it but has been cut half way up or so...
