    20.8x38 vs.18.4x38 tires

Well I have some bias 20.8s on my 1566 now that are about worn out. Would a 18.4 radial have about the same traction as a 20.8 bias? I would like to get some radials for a better ride. Now could I put the 18.4s on the same rims as the 20.8s or not. I believe the inside and dual rims are 18". If...

    Case dc tractor

I'm going to buy a dc case from my uncle that's been in the family forever. I've only worked on IH tractors so this will be a little different. What weight of oil do you use for the engine, hydraulics, and rear end? For the wet clutch if I just fill the crankcase will the oil get into the...

    1700 chisel plow blades

I may put some new blades on my 1700 chisel. Does anyone know what size they are supposed to be and what hole in the center for the shaft to go through. I believe it takes 24" blades and 20" on the outside and I think the shaft is square. Wheres a good place to get blades for a reasonable price...

Loose seal on front end spindle

I was packing the wheel bearings on my 1566 and I took the hub off and the seal kinda just fell off the spindle. The seal is supposed to press on to the spindle tight and the new one went on pretty loose. The other side was fine. I pinged up the spot where the seal sits and put locktite on it...

    66 series turbo

Yeah it clears up under a heavy load. It does use a little oil maybe a quart a day working it on the chisel. Is that a normal amount of oil consumption? I thought maybe a faulty turbo was the cause of oil consumption.

    66 series turbo

I have a 1566 that dribbles some oil out of the exhaust manifold where the 2 pieces connect. It's not much but it's nasty and hard to clean off. What causes this? Is the correct term slobbering? Would a faulty turbo cause the oil leak or would there be oil on the intake side if the turbo was...

    Harrowgator won't lift

    Harrowgator won't lift

I bought at harrow gator that had a bent middle pipe that the hydraulic cylinder attaches to. I made a new one out of square tubing. Now the cylinder is back on but won't lift it has a john Deere cylinder. It just wants to pull or push on the hitch instead of pull or push the back tires up...

Farmall M brake shaft seal backwards

I took the old brake shaft seals off my m and I really thought they were in backwards. Normal seals you would have the flat part with the brand name and number out away from the oil. I threw the old seals away but I swore the flat side was facing toward the inside of the housing where the oil...
