    Farmall A sn# questions?

It appears youre the one worked up, throwing out a bunch of names like a mad toddler because someone questioned your practices. I asked a simple question that you haven't answered yet. Why would you not use the correct head gasket? Apparently using the wrong gasket may get it by. You can also...

    tractor not start

On many engines with a bit of wear the starter drive can get bound up in the flywheel ring gear which can give the same symptoms you describe. Usually you can rock the engine a little and get it freed up or worst case remove the starter. But if all this happened when it died you better make sure...

I thought it was a good deal

Agreed. Should be able to get a better judgement of it that way

Not much limberness on a load range G!!

    Farmall A sn# questions?

So you intentionally use the wrong head gaskets on all these tractors.... again the question what are you saving by doing that? What other hack jobs are doing on these?

How can I get fines/dust out of cracked corn? **updated**

What animals are you feeding? Some can handle fine ground corn and some can't. With that said, if you bought it from the mills bin I'm sure you'd get the same fines. I'd mix it in and forget about it

I thought it was a good deal

That's fact, not opinion. The sun is really tough on tires. Your daily driver that gets 20k miles/yr and maybe lives in a garage will wear the tires out before they degrade. For the average occasional use trailer the elements are a bigger issue

    Farmall A sn# questions?

Why in the world would you NOT use the correct head gasket??? I get they can work under the right circumstances but that really screws the next guy to own it if he wants to use it as it's intended to. What are you saving by using the wrong one?

    Combine for a smaller farm

For 80-90 acres total either of those combines will be overkill. Beans will get done more timely than the neighbor running 1k acres with a 35' draper. In corn the bottle neck will be hauling it away. If you get a good machine the roi will be much better than the cost to hire it done

    Chinese carb update

It's lack of fuel. Half choking it would clear it up

Ideas for loading NH 55 rake on trailer

There's a disconnect on each wheel hub that clips behind a spring tab

    Mice urine smell in car

Close up the car with an open can of coffee inside. It works like activated charcoal to soak up odors. I'd recommended throwing away the coffee afterwards

    Chinese carb update

If you plug it with your finger it runs bad again. Felt is a good idea. I was trying to think of something to keep the mud dobbers out of it

    Farmall B ammeter wiring

Someone probably just hooked it up wrong. Just need to switch it to positive ground and polarize the generator. Then if it doesn't charge need to start diagnosing and spending money. I personally hate 6 volt systems. Can get a 1 wire alternator for $70 plus whatever a battery costs and have it...

    Farmall B ammeter wiring

If you desire to keep it 6 volt, myself I'd put it back to positive ground, the way it was from the factory. Should be able to run the 10ga wire from the battery terminal through the ammeter and then to the negative battery post (assuming you put it back to positive ground). If you have lights...
