    First reduction gear change

    I ran the 620 gears (33/89 tooth) set up in a styled A using the styled first reduction gear cover then later switched to a unstyled first reduction gear cover because it was lighter and it fit fine. I had a unstyled A that I used the late A creeper gears (34/88 tooth) in and that fit fine also...

    First reduction gear change

    You have a total of 3 ratios for the A's reduction gear sets. The unstyled and early A's should have a 36/86 tooth count set. The late A with creeper gear serial #648000 and above has a 34/88 tooth set. The 620/630 has a 33/89 tooth set. The late A set will slow you down about 8% and the 620 set...

    Saturday Oct 4th at 2pm there is a antique tractor pull at the Conicville Fire Hall in Conicville, Va. There are 3.5 mph uncut tire and 6 mph any cut tire classes. Weight classes from 2500lbs and up. Good food and clean bathrooms at the firehall. This is there last antique pull of 2014

    In the John Deere factory Unstyled B parts book #PC0676 it shows part #JD 1270R that is a "spoke type 7.50x36 or 9.00x36 rubber tire" and that's a flat spoke rim.

    Aluminum flat back

    The K+K one looks like the factory one, The Tim Harlin one can be made with just the cover or with a hitch/cover combo. The top photo is K+K'S cover that looks stock and the lower is Tim's hitch/cover if your rules allow and non factory looking cover. Both are well made pieces.
