    U-joint size?

I'm trying to find a replacement u-joint for my IH model 80 snowblower PTO shaft. The bearing caps are plain with no grooves. Snap rings are on the outside of the cap in the yokes. Cap measures 1.250" in diameter. I measured the cap to cap outside dimension at 3.215". The joint is greasable and...

    temperature farmall c

I bought a C a couple years ago and replaced the gauges that did not work, including the temp gauge. After installing the new gauge I found it did not "read" either. Every thing was in good shape on the tractor and I don't work it very hard at all so I was not worried with an overheating...

    Tie rod wisdom

I'm looking for "conventional wisdom". I'm rebuilding the front end of the old truck - 35 Chevy 1.5 ton. My uncle chored with it for the last 30 years and had it all messed up. One of those "take the play out of the front end by cranking the tie rod adjustment all the way in" deals. You have...

    Niche Farming

There have been a few threads here over the years about folks wanting to find small, niche crops that would produce a better return per acre than "standard" crops. Anyway, I just came across this article and thought some here might be interested in it Chinese Medicinal Herbs

Farmall SMTA Rear Rim Valve Stem

I had to replace a rear rim because of rust. The old rim had been widened for a 15.5 tire and the valve stem was on the outside. The old rim had more rim showing on the outside than the inner side. The new rim, if mounted with the valve stem out, would have more rim on the inner side than the...
