    PTO adapter

I have an 860, also using an adaptor. I have a 5/16ths bolt in that hole with a nylock nut.

    Grease, talk

I'll throw out a good review of the Lock and Lube device. Makes it really easy to get your grease gun on the zerk then back off.

    LN2 and sleeves

I've heard of using liquid nitrogen to cryro treat metals, don't know why it wouldn't work. SO, I googled it. Up pops an ad "Vaxxen Labs Chilling Spray" .83 pounds, 30 bucks - plus lots of other options. On that jungle website.

1953 Ford NAA Jubilee randomly dying and not restarting.

I'd be thinking about an electrical issue - a broken wire or sketchy crimp connector, ignition switch grounding out. I also think "points" since so many out there that are pure crap, but you didn't mention a ecent change out.

    801 6v pos ground problems

Scott - I installed a new new regulator in my 860 (from this site) and it was way overcharging. My tractor reads amps, not volts, but it was pegging the meter. After 5 minutes the regulator burnt up - junk. After reading a lot of posts, it appeared that there are a lot of "not so good"...

What wheels, rims and tires do I need?

Paul, Regarding power adjust rims, I would suggest if you are not farming and require the wheel spacing to be frequently changed it's a waste of money, go with the simple rims. It's hard to judge from the pictures - it does look like there a little rust by the valve stem which might indicate...

    Ford 800

Cowboy, I'm going to out on a limb and say that's an 860, which means 5 forward and 1 reverse trans and a live PTO. It looks like my 860, except for the custom plug wires. The emblem on the grill says 800, look at the flat spot by the starter at what is stamped on the block to see for sure...

FORD 860 SPINDLES - HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY?

UPDATE - I ordered new spindles from this site. The cheap ones. They came today and I looked them over. First of all, the packaging was very good. Good appearance. I measured the bushing and bearing diameters - looked good. The keyway's seemed to be in the right spot. Metallurgically, it...

    Whirling noise

Check your fan. I lost a blade due to metal fatigue - broke right off. That made a whirring sound

FORD 860 SPINDLES - HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY?

Thanks for the feedback. If all the aftermarket sites are selling the same thing (India/China whatever) I might as well buy from the cheapest guy. I'm going to keep shopping.

FORD 860 SPINDLES - HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY?

I just took apart the left spindle on my 860. I was expecting bad bushings as I could see them wiggling around as I mowed. I was disappointed when I saw that the kingpin shaft was worn, .074 on the bottom and .036 on the top. The top bushing didn't look worn (to my surprise), but it measured...

Tractor has been setting for 3 years

I'd go back to the OEM carb, if indeed it was an OEM you took off and try that. You can usually remove the bowl without wrecking the gasket and see if it looks clean inside. Best to get a kit and take it all apart. Aside from that, you might want to check compression.

How To Measure Gas in Workmaster 641

As described above, I emptied the tank on my 860 then very scientifically added one gallon at a time, marked a wooden dipstick. I took the dipstick to the table saw and made light cuts at each gallon mark to permanently mark the stick. Because of the curves in the tank sides, I was sure I...

Rust sealer or converter for wheel centers

I used an angle grinder with a stripping pad to prep the centers on my Ford 860. The pads will bring you to bare metal in a jiffy. I bought a $44 corded Porter Cable angle grinder and $33 pack of ten discs on the jungle website - worked great. I also bought a $42 "bandfile" at H.F.- it has...

    Quality Voltage Regulator

Ughhhh - I just looked, the price for a VR211 is now $80 bucks.
