Ford 800

My cousin has a Ford 800. engine is seized just wondering what it would be worth. Thanks for any info.

I’ll take a shot, though location makes a difference.
Nice rubber, though that right rear looks like she’s leaking rusty fluid and maybe the rim is rough on the inside
Nice tin minus the front left dog leg bottom
That rest o ride seat doesn’t have a lean, maybe lower hours if the tach is accurate?
I think I see a two hole clevis for that clutch linkage, so maybe it’s an 860 with a two stage clutch and live PTO? Check the flat spot behind the starter above the two implement mounting holes. Should say 860 or 850 with that 5 speed. 850 no live pto
Problem with a stuck engine is you just don’t know what could be wrong if anything, so many would say it’s worth a bit over scrap. She’s got potential though. I’d say list it for $1500 and be happy with $1000

It has a PTO, so it's not really an "800" is a 800 series. I have an 860 and it's my workhorse. Power steering? I'd find out why it's stuck. Might be as cheap as taking the pan off. If it's just wanting to 'go away' maybe $7-900. Tires look ok.

I bought 2 801s once (2 different deals), 1 had a "stuck" engine that turned out to be a starter that was rusted tight! I switched starters & it started & ran great! Of course the other one turned out to be a spun main bearing that ended up meaning a replacement engine.

Cowboy, I'm going to out on a limb and say that's an 860, which means 5 forward and 1 reverse trans and a live PTO. It looks like my 860, except for the custom plug wires. The emblem on the grill says 800, look at the flat spot by the starter at what is stamped on the block to see for sure what model it is. An 860, with a clean bill of health and decent tires I think it would be worth more like $2000.

That one will be worth 2k once he puts 4K in it with free labor plus what he paid for it then cross his fingers. Its worth no more than scrap $300 to 350. That tractor has been run hard and put up wet and I have no doubt the money pit will not stop at the engine and tires. Even if its free once you pump $$$$ into it you lose even if you pull out early. Its not even a good parts tractor because there is no quick cash to be made.

Do any implements come with it are anything of value you could sale and this deal not be a total loss.

His dad has a buddy who is a pretty passable mechanic. Should be able to get it up and running. If not I'll buy it myself for parts. Thanks everyone
