Let's see your working tractors :)

Calling for rain all week, thought it might be good to get my first sweet corn field plowed. '58 861 ran like a champ.

    641 snowplow question

One more photo. I haven't put the plow on yet, haven't needed it. So far this winter we've got about 3" of snow in North East Ohio.

    641 snowplow question

BBQCHEF here are some pictures of a bracket that I fabricated for my NAA, it should be real close to your 641. It mounts on the front under the engine and attaches to the swinging drawbar bracket in the back. I used a trailer hitch insert to attach to the swinging drawbar bracket, it fits in...

My new to me 861 powermaster

Nice looking tractor, I have one that is in about the same shape as yours. I do everything from plowing, discing, planting and all the hay work. It is a powerful tractor for its size, wish mine had power steering like yours.

    ford naa hydraulics

Try replacing the o rings where the lines connect to the pump and underneath the tractor. You may get lucky and fix the problem, if not, rebuild the pump.

Slightly OT: Haybine that came w/5000

The 478 is a very nice unit. I use one to mow about 40 acres, largest field is 10 acres. As long as you keep everything adjusted properly and greased it will last a long time. The best thing you can do is get an owners manual for it, it will show you how to adjust everything.

    1959 861 ford temperature gauge

I just went and looked at my 861, the hole for the temp gauge is on the head a little above and behind # 4 plug. It looks to be a 5/8 Dia. Hole. I believe I ordered mine from this site. It fit the first time. Make sure there is not a reducer in the factory hole.

    Overcharge

Any regulator you buy now is made in India garbage. I went through the same problem you are having. Take the cover off of the regulator and adjust the points inside, it may take a few tries but you can bend them to where it is cutting out at the proper voltage. I grew tired of this and converted...

    861 Electrical system over voltage

I had the same problem with my NAA. It's hard to find a regulator that is not made in India, they are all pretty much garbage. There is a set of points inside the regulator, you will need to adjust those points to get it to cut out and not over charge. I grew tired of messing with the 6 volt...

    Fair picture

Very nice. I take my super h to my local fair every year in her work clothes. You don't see to many all put together like that though. It's nice to be able to let the younger generation see how farming was done back in the day. I hope you continue to participate in that fair with that tractor...

    Parts Country of Origin

Sure sotxbill blame job loss on the unions. When the Mexicans and Guatemalans show up to do your job for less than half of what you do it for, you will wish you had a union to help you fight to keep your job.

    Problem diagnosis...??

Hey Duck my 861 does the exact same thing. Carb is set right, idle and timing set right but it still diesels when I shut the key off. I haven't tried the atf in the gas yet, maybe I will do that when it stops raining and I can cut hay with it.

    Jubilee 4sale worth it?

That seems a little high, at least for north east Ohio. If it has new tires that might justify that price. Take a compression tester with you if you look at it, that will tell you if the motor is tired. I purchased a NAA with 75% tires and 120 lbs of compression in all cylinders for $1800 about...
