    The tractor has a distributor not a mag. We went thru that pretty good. I do have a spare hot mag that I could put on it. Thanks for your reply.

    I did the exact same thing you did about a month ago and just about sat down and cried. I found a new casting on ebay very reasonable. Removed the platform plate, removed the axil housing, removed the bull gear, replaced the new used casting, then assembled back together.It all went really OK...

    I attained these fenders in a package deal where I was told they would fit a Farmall M. Well, they don?t and I would almost destroy the fender mount for them to fit. Does anyone know what these fenders actually fit? I really just want to find a proper home for them. They are in pretty good shape...

    Do you folks have any suggestions on pulling the steering sector gear on a Farmall M? I want to do this to tighten up the steering a bit. I have already bopped the shaft with a sledge hammer and tried to get a pry bar under the gear. I even thought to drill and tap some puller holes in the gear...
