When my father was a child he remember playing in his grandfathers barn and seeing parts of an old stove in the early 50s but did not think much of it Fast forward 50 60 years. The home site had been sold but the old barn was still there. My wife and I wanted a barn on our land and...

JD 4020 Brake Pedals are loose on pivot pin

My early JD 4020 has very loose brake pedals. How hard is it to get the brake pedal pivot pin out from the casting it is roll pinned to (R57815)? Is there room to work on this or do I have to remove the casting from the brake valve to get this job done? If so, does that cause problems for me...

John Deere 70 Gas in Oil

Be sure to check part key no 7-the part has a flat side and a concave side-I think concave side goes to the upper side of sediment bulb assembly-maybe someone will verify this. Splitdorf 246T Magneto Magnet Recharging

Hi-You have to have someone with a magnetism charger (a magneto shop) re-magnetize the magnet. Takes some time (1-2 days) I have heard! I think there is a schematic on this sight somewhere if you want attempt to do it yourself.

    It will not even pop!!!!

Compression is low, but make sure mag is timed properly-could be 180 degrees out of time. Revere wires at mag and see if it pops.

    John Deere B

John Deere gages are OK but I like Jerry Tricka's gages. His gages read oil pressure correctly and they are like originals.
