    MF65 will not start

You have to make sure that the distributor is timed to the compression stroke, remembering that the 4 stroke fires on every other rev. To determine if you are on the compression stroke , remove a spark plug, place your thumb over the hole and when you feel pressure, you"re on the compression stroke.

Carburetor parts question, TO-20 (but general)

Good idea on the alarm/light. I doubt you"ll have to worry about plugging the strainer if you do regular oil changes.

Carburetor parts question, TO-20 (but general)

You did a nice job with the screen. I would have used steel instead of copper on the pickup tube. Copper can work harden from vibration and crack. Really keep an I on the oil pressure. Have you got the copper line supported in any way or is it just hanging there with the screen mounted on the...

    to-35 diesel wont start

Diesel"s need fuel at the right time and compression to start. You have the fuel, how about the timing and the compression?

Carburetor parts question, TO-20 (but general)

You might want to check the relief valve on the oil pump. Normal "new engine pressure" is between 25-30 psi. 35 psi is a bit high. Your relief valve maybe stuck or the spring over shimmed to increase it"s compression.

    Rear Blade vs. Box Blade

It"s hard to grade without position control on the three point like your TO-20. You can buy a Fergy Positioner, a Zane Thang, or go to the Ferguson Forum and there are drawings for a home made positio control device. To really fix the chuck holes, you want to rip the gravel up and then regrade...

    small farm tractor purchase

For your stated purposes, a 35-45 hp gas tractor(MF-35, Ford 4000 Series) would probably do everything you"re talking about on relatively flat ground with some margin in case you want to add some heavier tasks later. Cabs are a pain in the woods but really nice in bad weather in open country...

    TO-30 problems

Did you adjust the valve lash? Is the valve rocker assembly getting oil? To time the engine, get #1 cylinder on the compression stroke by removing the sparkplug, holding your thumb on the sparkplug hole and cranking the engine "til you feel pressure trying to blow your thumb off the hole...

'62 2000 adjust valves engine running GAS TANK ?

I use a pop bottle for an auxilliary tank. I punched a hole in the cap for the fuel hose, put it on the carb supply tube, filled it with fuel, and wired it to the steering wheel. Works for me!

    clutch will not disengage

The clutch is stuck to the flywheel via rust most likely. Pull the lower cover off the bell housing and see if you can verify anything that way. Look in the archives as this has been discussed many times.

Weed #5 - Identification help how to get rid of it

I don"t know what the name of the weed you are trying to get rid of but I would suggest you take a sample to the County Extension office or the Weed Board and ID it. THEN try to figure out what touse on it. It"s pretty expensive to use "trial and error" logic to kill weeds. Figure out what weed...

    Engine oil viscosity

If it were me, I"d use 10W30 or 10W40 oils. it will make for easier starts in the winter and provide proper lubrication in warm weather without requiring an oil changes when the weather warms up.
