cover for my 1952 ford 8N

Look at Dennis Carpenter it will cover the engine but is expensive. Another choice would be a car cover or UTV cover. Just my .02 I might be wrong. Dennis Carpenter Reproductions

Lost a 2010 Stanly Cup Blackhawks hat to the mower that summer. Same story low branches did not duck enough. Took my anger out on the branches.

    8N 3 point hitch question

I read that is a newly restored tractor, but was it restored correctly? I have never heard of lift arms being different lengths. Maybe a pervious owner had a reason to do this but all the N's I have see arms are always the same length. I have heard of the chains attached to the arms having...

    8N or what is it

You could have a 8N tractor with a replacement motor in it. Stationary engines were sometimes used as a replacement. You can check the casting numbers on the axles to maybe get a better idea on the year of your tractor. John Smiths web page is a good place to start looking. Good luck and have...

Ed, Great story about your trip. I especially like the line about the ignition switch. Sounds like Gary and his wife are quite the couple. Gary thanks for all the help and humor over the years. My best to you.

Will ethanol gas cause my 8N problems?

I have had no issues with gas in the 12 years I have own my 1952 8N & 48 8N. I do add a stablizer to every gas can before I fill it. That gas will run two N's, push mower and lawn tractor. No problems in any of them. Also I rarely put 10 gals in the N's usually five at the most. Tractors sit all...

    OT-security cameras

Game camera will work find for what you need to do. Get an IR model no one will see the flash, just make sure to cover the red light on the front with some tape so you don't see it. Brand name I would recommend is Wild Game Innovations. You can take still or video with these models. Good luck.

    Hunting Deer, cartridge type?

I'll chime in with my .02, the 30-30 is a brush country round with most shots under 100 yards. Anything over 100 yards is not fair to you or the deer. Yes it has taken more deer, only because it has been around long then other cartridges. I shoot a 30-06 here in Wisconsin, good out to about 200...

OT rifle that looks like a pistol

When I read your subject the firearm that came to my mind was the Maresleg. Think of a winchester with a short barrel and the stock cut back to the pistol grip. In the 60"s the hero on a TV show carried one. Steve McQueen on "Wanted Dead or Alive". Rossi makes several models of this firearm.

Are these overrun couplers any good?

I don't think these are an ORC but rather they are an adapter. Click on the links on the page for ORC and quick connect ORF and your back to item with more conventional pricing. Maybe even a little high.

    8N rims center disc

I went out to the garage this weekend and found one of my rear tires low on air. Upon inspection I can see that the rim has rusted through and you could see the tire on the other side. I pulled the tire but I having a heck of a time of getting the center disc off. The nuts turned easy after...

How much HP does my 8n have, and how big of a boxblade sh...

I have a 1948 8N and pull a 5ft box blade up hill on the gravel driveway without and problems. The tires on the 48 are liquid loaded and that makes all the difference in the world. My '52 8N dosen't work out as well because the tires aren't loaded.
