8N rims center disc

I went out to the garage this weekend and found one of my rear tires low on air. Upon inspection I can see that the rim has rusted through and you could see the tire on the other side. I pulled the tire but I having a heck of a time of getting the center disc off.
The nuts turned easy after some PB Blaster but after that nothing. I couldn't pound out the bolts and the disc was going anywhere.
Is this something that needs to be heated up to get it apart? Any other idea to get these two pieces apart?

the center and the rim may be rusted together. You could bang on them with a BFH (hammer)after loosening the bolts up or loosen the bolts up about 2 turns from contact and doing some figure 8's. The last suggestion is a little extreme and shouldn't be done unless all else has failed.
Also spray some ATF on the junction between rim and center and let it soak for a while.
Show the wheels to an 8 year old boy and tell him not to bother them. :)

Put the nuts back on loosely and drive it around a bit. Listen and watch it closely because when it lets loose you should here it pop and then wobble. Leave them just loose enough to give it a little play but not so loose as to make it unsafe. Also driving in a figure 8 sort of way helps work it back and forth to loosen it up

What ever you do leave some nuts on for safety! We had a wheel on a spreader one time, did the driving annd figure 8's, a BFH. Ended up wieh heat, when it broke loose it went fast, almost got hurt. Be safe, always

f you have hat rims (bet you do), then it is rust on the portion of the bolt inside the rim that is keeping it secure. You can't see it or get to it without cutting up the rim, so force & maybe repeated heating & cooling cycles will loosen the rust.
