    U302 starter issue

We had stored Dads 1967 U302 super for the winter. Had a maintainer on the battery and stabilized gas. I tried to start it and after about 5 seconds it hadn't fired so I let off of the key. The key went back to the expected position....but the starter kept cranking....I had to pull the battery...

Here is my new hangup....I purchased the manual but the pictures where they show the drain and fill plugs is so dark i cant really see...

    Sae 80 GL

1967 U302 Super. Drained lube from rear end for a repair. Gonna need to replace it. Manual says 10 gal SAE 80 EP. My biggest concern regarding the lube is everything I see at the store is 80/90 EP GL5 or 80/140 EP GL5. From browsing the internet I see some saying GL5 is not recommended in some...

    1967 MM U302 leak

The weather finally has gotten to the point Dad and I can work on this and enjoy it a bit. I have a couple of questions though. I have removed the brake discs and the casting behind the discs. The seal that is in the casting is deteriorated and obviously leaking. I am not sure how to remove the...

    U302 Snowblower

Trying to figure out what size rear mount snowblower would work good on dads U302 Super. Physically I think a 7' would be about right. Dad bought it last year as a hobby tractor. Gonna plant deer plots etc. The plan is to use it....not leave it in the pole barn all year. It has two hyd hook ups...

    1967 MM U302 leak

Thanks. Appreciate the advice. Sounds like you have done this before. Doesn't appear it will be a tough job. I will have an idea of what to look for. Do you know if those seals and o rungs are readily available? Thanks
