    End Of An Era

Man, that 145H was the smoothest plow I ever ran. It could open up a level headland in 3 passes or close up a catycornered dead furrow as level as the rest of the field. Loved it and sorry to see it go.

Thanks... he bought the 54 new too. I learned to drive on it. My son has threatened me with bodily injury if I ever sell it.

    88 side panels

side panels off of an 88 RC Diesel my dad had. Been up in the rafters ever since I can remember. I'm 69. What should they be worth? Straight with some surface rust. Latches work.

Help! 3 cyl 820D was Florenced revisited

Well... I got the engine running just fine after hot-wiring the injector pump solenoid and using the dreaded screwdriver-on-the-starter trick. The water level came up over the bottom half of the fuse block, ruining it. The key switch, starter button and most likely the neutral switch all went...

Help! 3 cyl 820D was Florenced revisited

Well, they got it running but said the transmission shifts "hard" and the brakes don't work. It actually flooded up to about mid-engine. Don't know if the alternator was ruined or not. Hopefully the trans will smooth up. They changed the fluid twice with a new filter the second time. What...

Help! 3 cyl 820D was Florenced

Our family's 820D 3 cyl was flooded by Hurricane Florence. Other than changing all the fluids, replacing the starter and battery, what would be the internal items that need addressing? We hope to save this tractor. I'm 200 miles away and can't get there until next weekend, but my cuz will...

    California Walbro Carb 5-4993

bought a used Dayton generator for $150 early this week. Said the carb was no good. I believe him. Took a rebuilt 4993 and swapped out the throttle linkage. Put it on and it ran like a scalded dog. Took it back off to figure out the choke linkage and saw that the venturi is smaller in the...

    Plow id

Back in the 90's around here breaking land went out of favor and every sale had a couple of 4 or 5 bottom plows that went for junk price. Nobody wanted them. A local machine shop would buy the nicer ones and cut them down to 2-bottoms and sell in the garden market for $300-$350 each. Nice profit.

    322 creeping

I have acquired an early serial numbered 322 with the 3 cyl gas Yanmar engine. Trouble is the tractor wants to creep forward with the lever in neutral. Ease the lever toward reverse and it stops, but will begin to creep again in a few seconds. There must be an adjustment somewhere. Don't have a...

John Deere M home fabricated 3 pt hitch, please help!

make sure your top link will clear the seat when fully raised. Our M is long gone but I still have the top link and it is a dog-leg affair so it would clear the seat. The systems in the pictures extend farther out than ours did, so you may not have that problem.
