Our family's 820D 3 cyl was flooded by Hurricane Florence. Other than changing all the fluids, replacing the starter and battery, what would be the
internal items that need addressing? We hope to save this tractor.
I'm 200 miles away and can't get there until next weekend, but my cuz will install a new starter this weekend. Should he attempt to turn the engine
over or is there something else he needs to do first? Remove the injectors? Not sure if the muffler went under. Have to assume it did. The local
tractor techs are flooded with flooded tractors. Need to deal with this on our own.
Hurricane Matthew flooded almost everyone out 2 years ago with a 17 foot crest. Florence crested at 23 feet. Everyone lost everything. Our cabin is on
the only 25 foot hill around. Came up the steps but not in the house. Got chest-high in the cabin downriver. Hasn't flooded into that cabin since it
was built in 1939. They are going down to strip the inside this weekend.
