The shop gave me a price over the phone I guessed it might be a main seal. This seems to under pressure spraying out. The transmission shouldn't be under pressure should it? Jim-NC -

Does anyone know of a way to fix a leak around the seal between the transmission and motor on a 1955 850 Ford, without tearing it down? Thanks! If not how bad is this to break in to? Is this a job that a novice can do? The tractor place wants $700. JIM-NC -

Hydraloic level
By the way that is a 850 Ford. The stick has two sides each one has a different level. I am confused. Jim-NC -

The dip stick on the left of the seat for the rear lift has two different levels. One idicates oil level the other pedestal level which one to you fill by. Thanks! Jim-NC -

Carburetor 850
I re-built my TS-593 carb on my 850 ser# 85085302. I put it back on and now gas leaks through the bottom a hole next to the drain plug when I cut on the gas. I took it off several time to see if the float is working I believe it is. Any advice is appreciated as always. Jim-NC -

Carburetor float spring
I have a 1955 850. The carb is a Marvel Schebler tsx-593. I purchased a carb kit for it. This old carb had a spring (wire like u shaped)that went under the float. I have worked on this thing for hours can can not figure out how it goes. Does anyone know? The blow up I have shows a round... -

631 exhaust conversion to vertical?
Old is right, I have a 850 with a vertical exhaust, muffler is under the tank, but with the heat shield it isn't a problem. Jim -

Using 7ft Blade
Does anyone know if you can cut drainage ditches with a 7' driveway blade. It is an angle adjusted blade. Will it be necessary to use stablizers on the lift? Does the draft control need to be up or down? Thanks! Jim -

Air Breather
There is a good chance you're right Dean, I had to scrape the crud off the cup it was so bad. It was hard for me to believe the tractor was still running after seeing the breather. I swear I don't believe it has ever been cleaned. It had maybe two inches of filler.Thanks for the advice. If... -

Air Breather
Took my air breather off my 850 cleaned it put in new filler and now it leaks I didn't see a gasket for it. Am I missing something here. Jim -

Carburetor Problems?
My 850 is still running rough and finally died today while adjusting the carb. I have water ozzing out where the carb is attached to the intake manifold. My tractor got rain down the exhaust pipe the other night because I left the can off. I blew it out like old suggested with the plugs...
