    International 584 wheel hub sleeve…

After close examination I think you are correct, I had notice the two slots like bar rear axle key slots and assumed it was rear axle hub looks too small.

    International 584 wheel hub sleeve…

We did a CIH 495 not bar axle, outer axle bearing a few years ago. We found one of third party repair manuals had the diagram wrong for the placement of the wear sleeve, see correct placement in photo below. Your 584 has the bar axle so the placement is the same, you just don't have to take the...

    IH 484 3 Pt Lift

You are correct on this "I am not plowing (tilling some), so I would assume I want to lock out the draft control which the operator's manual says is all the way forward." There is a 3PT lift height adjustment that can be preformed through the inspection cover under the seat.

    IH 424 three point lift

You are correct for the 3PT hydraulic reservoir, the fill plug is the plug on top in your photo and the drain plug is the one by the hitch Pin. Early models did not have the drain plug and you had to drain by disconnecting the pipe at the suction filter. The proper hydraulic reservoir level is...

3pt 2 Bottom Moldboard Plow Identification

I think it is an IH C26 3pt plow made in IH Hamilton, Ontario, Canada plant, the three bottom version was a C36. They were made for the B-250, B-275, B414 tractors with 3pt hitch. We had the 2 bottom version back in the mid 1950s and used it on JD 420U. Later bought the C36, 3 bottom version in...

IH 464 Remote Valve Kit Install -WHAT IS NEEDED?

Was there a second hard line going to the remote valves? Or only the one to the MCV?

IH 464 Remote Valve Kit Install -WHAT IS NEEDED?

Does the tractor that is receiving the remote valve have an existing valve and the owner is adding an additional remote valve? Photo of no remote valve 484, if tractor is like this photo, your require #1 plus #3, #4 and #6. See the second photo, you may have to provide the PURPLE hydraulic line...

International 785 at what engine rpm is PTO at 540 rpm?

Hi, from your tractors S/N, see info below. Then next photo down from Nebraska Tractor test for 784, the 785 is just the next generation of the 784. Major difference in engine was the high compression pistons to make better starting and less smoke also may have the newer Bosch VE injection pump...

Trouble setting timing on D329 international

Did you use the Scribe line in the pump or just set the keyway on the drive shaft to 11 O'clock? If the engine is surging up and down in RPM that usually indicates lack of fuel flow to the pump or the pump is misadjusted to be running on the START position on the pump, see below.

Trouble setting timing on D329 international

Normally the keyway on pump gear is about 11 o'clock. Does the engine start good if you install the pump with the gear at the 10 o'clock and ignore the scribe line? If it is timed too fast it will kick back on the starter and too slow, hard to start many revs to start and smoke and slobber.

Trouble setting timing on D329 international

Read the note at the bottom of the second photo, to make sure the pump does not have the second scribe line marked "L" for left rotation pumps.

Trouble setting timing on D329 international

Hi a couple pages from my manuals on setting timing on D-239 German Diesel engine. The 250A would be same as 674 farm tractor.

    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

Was that fuel filter original equipment? Looks like one from a John Deere Industrial engine. According to Caseih.com parts 424 Diesel, the fuel filter, item #20 was spin on type, p/n 393201R91. I have never worked on an IH BD-154 Diesel with CAV/DPA fuel system that didn't have lift pump.

    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

So you don't get any fuel out the bottom or top bleed screw on the CAV/DPA injection pump? There is a filter on the input o the pump, item #84 in photo below, be cautious if you remove item #79 as there are some small springs etc that have to be re-installed correctly. If you have an air...
