    Ford 850 Gas Tank Bracket

    The top item came off the tractor the bottom came with the new tank. The angle iron is just holding the top piece of the bracket together. Hope the picture uploads.

    I have a Ford 1955 850. All gas tanks I see online have the tank seam on the bottom of the tank and all have the same flat back bracket shown. My tank has the seam about 2" from the bottom of the tank and back bracket is a metal bar about 1 1/2" wide, 3/8" thick, and the length of the tank...

    Paint Color for Ford 850

    What is the correct paint color for the grey on a Ford 850? What I have seen looks like a light grey but when I look on TISCO website they indicate Medium Grey for tractors (1948 - 1964) and Light Grey for (1965 & newer). Their codes Medium Grey (TP240) and Light Grey (TP330).

    8 volt battery

    Thanks for the info. I'll either fix my problems with the 6v or go to a 12v. Probably have to take a couple of those former friends off my Xmas card list.

    8 volt battery

    Are there any problems using an 8 volt battery in a Ford 850 positive ground 6 volt system? I have been told no problem and also not to do it. Is the 8 volt put on a charger at 6 or 12 volts?
