    IH auction results from today

I was at an estate auction a few miles up the road today and there was quite a bit of IH stuff. The bachelor had moved to the nursing home a number of years ago and his equipment has set idle since. So, none of the tractors were currently running. There was a nice looking, late model 656...

    Corn silage done for 2014!!!

The boys finished up corn silage to day. We did fill the silos but only put up two 300 foot bags rather than the usually 5-6 bags. The cattle yards at the farm will be in use but the yards on a farm we rent will be empty this winter. That way we will not have to go there to do chores everyday...

How often do you change water filters on refrigerator? I purchased a new ref about 2 years ago. Forgot it had a water filter for ice maker. Book says change every 6 months. Went to store to buy one and got a sticker shock $45. Found them on amazon for $28. If I bought 2 it was free shipping...

    Compression Testing...

Is there a thread on this site, or on another website, or a book, that has detailed, step-by-step instructions for testing compression? (On a Ferguson TO-20, in my case.) I"ve never done it, but I can read and follow instructions, and it doesn"t sound too difficult. Are gauges usually...

    Governor

Broken part is base 8n18191b . The section broken off occurs around the outside diameter, there still is enough material to hold in the housing. When attached the assembly turns freely and there does not seem to be any stress. Thanks Jim

    Governor

41 9n fmd 12 v when I pulled the governor off and apart I found the part that holds the gear assembly into The housing to be broken off. However the set screws were still holding the assembly in workable order. The races and balls are in good condition. Will this governor still work?
