    I think you are correct on the serial number change. I had no idea that would ever be done. I will attach a picture. So with your help we have determined that I do indeed have a model 205-4 with a modified loader. Thanks again!!

    Thanks!! You have been very helpful. I will check out the link. I'm still wondering about the odd serial number, I can see where another plate used to be under the plate that says J3590, maybe that isn't the serial number after all. Now I will start looking for information on the 60 finish...

    I'm beginning to wonder if I do not have a 205-4. From your parts book what other models besides the 1010 and 1020 does the 214 loader fit?

    Thanks, I had looked it up on the Tractor Date site and noticed that my serial number was unusual which is why I asked on this forum. another thing that is unusual is the Tractor Data site shows a 216 loader as standard and my tractor has a 214 loader which I cannot find any information on...
