Please help me find part number for 8n axle hub rubber washer

Thanks, y'all. I was beginning to think it was not necessary or something. I'll try a little RTV on the shaft. LOL. I didn't even think of looking at the youtube comments.

Please help me find part number for 8n axle hub rubber washer

Thanks, but I don't think that is it. It is thicker than a seal and sits right behind the hub nut washer.

Please help me find part number for 8n axle hub rubber washer

I've replaced the axle seals on my 8n tractor and find it leaks out the end on the OUTSIDE of the tire. Upon closer inspection, I appears that I'm missing the rubber washer that goes just behind the hub nut and steel washer, as shown at this point in this video: (I didn't lose it. It was...

    Alternator not working

Well, here's what I did: I traced back all the wires to the connection block, ammeter and starter, cleaned all the connections and reassembled. I put the new remanufactured alternator on and it still didn't work. I put the old alternator on, and it DID work after revving it up, even with the...

    Alternator not working

Thanks for all your ideas. I'll get a chance to look at it again on Tuesday and will trace all the wires. I'll let you know what I find.

    Alternator not working

Hi all. The Delco alternator on my 1952 8N never worked well. It had to be revved up to get it to kick in. I realize I didn't have the exciter wire with a bulb, but never got around to that. Suddenly it stopped working at all. I put on an exciter wire and bulb, but that didn't help. I...

How do I know if my muffler needs replacing?

I just remembered that I have one of those USB boroscopes. I'll use that to take a look. Thanks for reminding me.

How do I know if my muffler needs replacing?

It's horizontal and looks probably original so I'm guessing it's bad. I definitely need earplugs so I'll go get one from Tractor Supply. Even WITH earplugs I am deaf after using it. Thanks for all your advices.

How do I know if my muffler needs replacing?

Thanks. I presume that even if it was bad it would be even louder without it. I don't have another tractor to compare it with. Anyone else?

How do I know if my muffler needs replacing?

My 1952 8n is rather noisy even with earplugs. How do I know if it needs a new muffler or if that's just the way it is. Is there a way to inspect it? How and what am I looking for? Would a new muffler make a significant difference? Thanks.

    8n lift with limited range.

You were right. I loosened the bolts and tapped the plate back. The lift has better range but not full range. I was going to ask about a pin or something. I guess that's my next step. A Million Thanks!!!

    8n lift with limited range.

Thanks for your response. Can you tell me what you mean by "Quadrant"?

    8n lift with limited range.

I have a 1952 8N that seems to move the lift only around 3 inches near the top of the lever's range. I thought that was normal until recently when I've seen videos of lifts going much higher. What part(s) need replacement to fix this? Also, when I switch to draft control mode, the lift does...

    8n Rear drain plug dry

He was right. It was a layer of hardened crud that I was able to poke through. The tractor had been sitting for at least 3 years though it was full, it needed to be changed badly. Thanks for ya'lls quick responses.
