    TO20 vs Ford 8N muffler

    i bought a complete exhaust system for my to20 at a farm and home store for about 25 dollars including tax. it was welded at all connections. i had to use my old hanger. the muffler for my to20 at the same place was about 18 dollars i think so i elected to replace the whole thing for a little more.

    the only thing i want to add is that when you hold your finger over the spark plug hole the exhaust stroke can feel like the compression stroke. here is the way i learned years ago on locating compression stroke. remove spark plug and push a shop towel into the spark plug hole tightly. the shop...

    metric shear bolt

    i bought it from rural king. the store is 30 miles one way from me. no bolts listed on their webpage. no shear bolt listed in the owners manual.i saw that the metric 4.8 was a little higher than grade 2 when searching for the bolt.

    i bought a 12 volt fuel shut off for my to20 .have not installed it yet but it is basically foolproof. i can try to find out where i ordered it from if anybody is interested.

    i was thinking the same thing. a 7/16 bolt with brass shim stock sleeve. i also talked about making my own like you said out of round stock or a bigger bolt.
