    953 gear weight capacity

we have a 953 gear that we built into a header trailer, it currently hauls a 635F bean head with an air reel, we are looking at going to a 35 foot draper, dealer said the 635 auger head weighs 6710# (not sure how much the air reel adds) and the draper heads are in the 7600-7700# range. first...

    VFD vs rotary phase converter

in my last post about drill presses a while back guys were mentioning using phase converters or VFD's to open the option of 3 phase equipment into our single phase shop. some said something about you need to up size them because you loose some power in the conversion process so my question is...

    drill presses

would like to upgrade the drill press in our shop but don't know where to find a good one or who makes a good one. would be used to drill anything from 1/16 hole in sheet metal up to 1+ holes through thick steel and am limited to single phase. don't want to spend an arm and a leg but willing to...

    Berry cams

they ground the cam for my JD 720 diesel about 4-5 years ago, I am happy with what I got and the fast turn around was great, they would be the first place I would talk to if I had a cam to get done.

    4240

most likely the 2 speed, ours was doing the same as yours, should be 3-400 bucks in parts and better part of a day to fix it.

    Two problems with 730 gas

It is rather important to get it up to operating temp other wise they wouldn't have put a thermostat in there to begin with. poor fuel burn, carbon build up, accelerated engine wear are the first few reasons that come to mind for reasons to have it at operating temp. My first suspicion for poor...

    4230 cab mount bushings

yeah that's the same conclusion I came to on them. I don't think a replacement cab is in the budget, but then again neither was $700 for cab bushings.

    4230 cab mount bushings

thanks but those are the newer style and I'm don't think they will interchange?

    4230 cab mount bushings

any one know of a source for the rubber bushings for a 4230 cab? ASAP has aftermarket bushings but they are the wrong number. we need 4 of a AR58397 and 4 of a AR59872 $714 for them from Deere seems a little outrageous even by Deere standards.

    4230 overhaul

yes they will be checked and replaced if needed (they have been replaced at some point), and the pump will be gone through as well.
