    Deere LUC power plant any of you have one or restored one?

    I have the combine drive and the pto drive for mine, I have a flat pulley that goes on the pto if I need that option. Have used the pulley belted to a tractor to start the LUC when it was being stubborn.

    My 420 was doing the same thing, had oil pressure when cold but dropped to almost 0 once warmed up, I dropped the pan to check bearings and found the sump screen all plugged up as you see here.     Also when it is running 7-800 psi and I turn it all the way I can turn the steering wheel about 1-2 turns back the other way with only moderate resistance, then it's like it hits a wall and steers hard the rest of the way. All these test are while sitting still.
