    Just a curious thought. if you put alittle oil on it. wouldn't that possibly change the reading. When your dealing with a couple thousandths of a inch i would think the oil might cause some tolerance misreads.. just me thinking out loud.

    Thanks the photos are so helpful.. and i wish someone has info on adjusting out some shimmy in front wheels.. when you get the A up to high gear it will start shimming the front end bad, and i heard there is something you can tighten up on the steering rod gear or somehting that will help that.

    No i can't cut the square.. lol i rather do the work.. the tractor has had a great recent restoration. paint is perfect and everything is nice. my dad just wanted a chrome pipe. so we will see lol

    I have a question about what pipe i need or the 1950 chrome stack, i wanted to put a straight pipe chrome open stack on .. I see where they sell one with a "dent" in it. is that the pipe i need. and how much of a task is it to change stacks, does steering rod have to be removed to get hood off...

    Is there any picture views or manual pics on how to do the eccentric bearing.. I have searched but didn"t fine much useful info.. and I might need to put new tires on it also.

    Here's another point for my knowledge. the front tires are worn cracked but hold air fine etc. could that be the culprit. just me guessing im thinking the front end is wore out but could the tires be the problem???

    Thanks for info. I have contacted poppinjohn and their' going to rebuild it to new and we'll go from there.. he said he thinks its the idle circuit and jets are probrably trashed and dirty.
