    Hard Starting B (Hand Start)

So I have a 46 B that is a bit hard to start. About impossible on a hand start but I am able to get it started by pulling it with another tractor. Carb is rebuilt, points cleaned, and a new condensor. It has good spark, fuel and a TON of compression and is very hard to turn over (due to...

    Bobcat 643

Thanks for the reply. In doing a bit of research, I have gathered that it is highly unlikely that the drive chain is skipping. With that said, something is making a noise when it is heavily loaded into a pile. I will continue investigating. I now have what may be an engine oil pressure...

    Bobcat 643

So I just bought a 643 Bobcat, and it does have have aux hyd"s but I"ll be darned if I can figure out how to actuate them. It is not side ways on one of the sticks as it is on others as I have tried that. Unless something is froze up.... Also, it seems like one of the drive chains may be...

Mystery JD B Sprung a leak

I actually did just that today, but I used some "SPECIAL" plumbing brand of epoxy JB weld type stuff. I had 3 different holes I patched and it came with a fiberglass webbing that you get wet and wrap it with. It's now hard as a rock and sealed. I took it out for a 1/2 hour cruise around the...

Mystery JD B Sprung a leak

once the tractor is running, it is seeming to run lean so I'm not sure the "a" carb wont work. I will be replacing the water pipe...maybe not with the intended part, but it will be new. I have a welder and a pipe bender...

Mystery JD B Sprung a leak

Really? An "A" carb....a 53 is an "A" carb? Yes, that would help explain the flooding...but would it fit? It appears to belong there... JSF

Mystery JD B Sprung a leak

Because the serial# on it is real faint you can't see all of it. It's 143xxx and from a few folks on here I guess it's a possible 1942 but not real sure on that... Looks like I can weld it...Maybe>>>??? Maybe bend up a new one??? Seems pretty steep for a piece of pipe... JSF

Mystery JD B Sprung a leak

I have posted on this B recently as the one with the faint serial number. Well, I got the carb rebuilt today and got it running. As I filled it up with water, I noticed that it had this water leak in the upper water pipe. (See photo) I suppose that isn't designed there? What do these pipes...

So What Year is this B??

Hello Lee, I'm not really a tractor newb, just maybe to these Johnny Poppers as I have only worked on one other before (a 70), but I do own 12 other tractors. I have sort of been half looking for a B or an H for a few years. I really wanted a late model B for more power and the added options...

So What Year is this B??

What do you mean by "left center"?

So What Year is this B??

So if it is just a Power-Lift, does that mean that it is just up or down? Or, will it stop in between? It appears that someone had some sort of 3point cobbled up for it at one time...
