    M5 Missing when cold

No, thats not me. I live in the UP actually. My tractor did not run when I got it, the pump shaft was broken. I dont remember the thing ever strarting up without being towed then. At 70 degrees, it will start and clean up quick. At 60, it needs a little help.

    M5 Missing when cold

I have an M5 that has the same problem you describe. It also seems to make it hard to start. I put on a reman inj. pump earlier this year. i was thinking it may be an injector or dirty energy cell.

    OT steam engine ???

I lived in Hancock for a while, the long winters and hill did not mix real well. That area was actually on the cutting edge of steam technology. The Calumet & Hecla Superior Engine (just to the north in Calumet) was particularly impressive. Check out the link to see some more photos from this...

Largest Gas 2 Wheel Drive Tractor Built ???

Minneapolis Moline made a small number of gasoline G1000"s. That is 110 hp with 504 cubic inches. I dont think anybody knows how many they made as the serial numbers go along with the LP"s, but i dont think it was many at all. The highest hp Deere was probably the 4230 at 100hp.

    John Deere 2010

I have spent a fair amount of time on a 2010 gas raking hay. It was about the easiest starting and quietest tractor I have used. I actually liked it. The brakes really sucked though, seemed like a person would need 2 legs per pedal. My biggest complaint is that I was not running the 4010...

    B Crank Interchange?

Thank you for the answers. I guess I will just save myself the hassles. Would the clutch driver from the 4-speed B be the same? Does anybody have a good, useable crankshaft for sale? The email should work. Here is a crappy, blurry picture of the tractor that needs the help <a...

    B Crank Interchange?

I thought the clutch drivers were different. Could the late (201000- ) crank be used in a '41 B with the corresponding clutch driver? I have access to a late crank, and also a crank from a 4 speed styled B. I know the earlier ones have different journals, so that one is out.

    B Crank Interchange?

Guys, Will a late styled B crankshaft fit into an early Styled six-speed B (s/n 116000)? My splines are worn almost off. I know the stroke is the same, but what about the journals? Any help would be appreciated.

    M670 Radiator same as M5?

I need a new radiator for my M5 Diesel due to a 'slight fan issue.' I found a radiator for an M670 Gas (not sure if it is a super) at a salvage yard. Would these be the same, or at least close enough to bolt in and reattach the hood? Are the shrouds the same or similar? I will bring the old one...

    MM (M-5) Fuel Pump

The earlier diesels used model PSB Bosch inline pumps. They switched to a Roosa Master DBG pump in "61 or "62. You can switch from the Bosch to the RM but you would have to change all of the injector lines. As far as more power, most of the pulling guys use the gas/ LP versions. My M5 has...

    Odd International?

Yesterday I ran across a strange IH for sale. It is a Hydro 186 with FWA, Painted yellow from the factory. The story is that it was used as a snow blower tractor for an airport. I did not stop to look at it, but from the road it looked really sharp. Does anybody know anything about these? I...
