B Crank Interchange?

Guys,

Will a late styled B crankshaft fit into an early Styled six-speed B (s/n 116000)? My splines are worn almost off. I know the stroke is the same, but what about the journals?

Any help would be appreciated.

The crankshaft is the same from ser# B96000-B200999. The crank after ser# B201000 is different. The difference comes from the clutch on the later one compared to the others. It uses a thicker clutch driver and more clutch disks.Flywheel is also different.

Could the late (201000- ) crank be used in a '41 B with the corresponding clutch driver?

I have access to a late crank, and also a crank from a 4 speed styled B. I know the earlier ones have different journals, so that one is out.

You can make anything fit, but B parts are plentiful and inexpensive. Find the one you need, trade for one, etc.

Thank you for the answers. I guess I will just save myself the hassles. Would the clutch driver from the 4-speed B be the same?

Does anybody have a good, useable crankshaft for sale? The email should work.
