I am having the exact same problem. Battery is fully charged, and have tried 3 different starters, all of which work on other C's. Cables seem to be fine, all new within the past few months.- joshneil

jd 2840 leak
Hi I have a jd 2840 that is leaking hydraulic oil into the starter. I am 99% sure that I need to pull the tractor apart and change the seal between the housings.
