    and here i thought i was the only one with this problem, i solved it by drilling and tapping the 4 little round casting lugs and putting little tabs to hold the seal in. that allong with some gasket sealer around the perimiter of the seal itself.

    yup most likely need a new activation arm, collar and maybe an output shaft. grab the rear seal and some gear oil to since you will be opening up the center axle section.

    i have a 6 ft woods mower on my 53 NAA and it works great in my opinion. i feel it is a good match and dont feel underpowered at all. i have plowed through knee high grass with no issue. my tires are filled and that is the only weight adder i have. i just have to watch it on the hills...

    Cub pto linkage problem

    yea i had to do the same on mine, i picked up a good used one for cheap. you cant just weld in another pin, i tried that and it lasted all on an hour. they are heat treated. it is possible it came out but if it popped out it was probubly worn out and needs replaced anyway.

    thanks, i can cut and weld if needed the front grill was already cut, in fact it could use a new front end but its a working tractor. could you point me in the direction for pump parts, i dont see any markings on it. thanks

    Lo-Boy needs choke to run

    I have a older Cub-Lo-Boy and it wont run right without some choke applied. once i give it some choke it runs great, it was like that when i bought it and has been this way for a while but i would like to fix it. i have taken the carb apart and cleaned it out well even the long tube that goes...

    PB is a much better penetrator than WD, they both have there place but give PB a try you wont look back.

    Guess I put it off one day to many

    once you let the factory smoke out of electronics you can never get it back in :-] so the bearings lock up? at least now once its fixed you shouldent have to worry about it for a long time.

    Mounting up a front end loader 2N to a NAA

    any chance you got some pics of the rear axle mounted. the bars i have are about a foot short of reaching my rear axle. any hints on setting up the pump shaft? thanks

    cub lo-boy

    it can also be the main jet in the carb, there should be a seal below it since it sits below the fuel level. if the seal is not there or its bad it can poar out the intake.

    had the same problem and it is explained well in the link. if i held i back farther it would work for a little longer. both my pins and coupler and pto shaft were worn. i replaced it all in a couple of hours and it has worked flawlessly since. they are right the splines are getting worn but...
