    Not a Not at the moment. Getting ready to swap in a rebuilt Ford 172 for the one that’s currently in the lift. I didn’t want to bother the parts department at the nearest dealer which is 40 miles away if I didn’t need to. Thank you for the response.

    9700 - Loose 3-Point Pin on Right Side - Help!

    In order to use the newer clamp style hanger you will need to replace the shaft as well. i have done this conversion several times. Buy all the parts from a salvage yard for a 8530, 8630, 8730, or 8830. The hydraulic lift housing will need to be removed to disconnect the draft control linkage...

    if you see a retaining clip then you have a 2 speed pto. that would be a different parts diagram than what is posted

    if you do not want to split the tractor you can remove rear hood, fuel tank , and steering gear then access the control valve to unhook the cable that way. but splitting is less work...just my opinion

    TW-10 steering hydraulic fittings question (with picture

    The set up I use for testing is 2 hydraulic hoses. They have the appropriate JIC fittings on one end and pipe thread on the other. The pipe thread ends screw into a tee with a gauge. Just be sure to use a pressure tee and not a plumbing tee.

    You need to count the blinks on the light to get the codes. Then consult service manual for code definition. Transmission pressure switch is a common failure item.

    Pto: like bern said not to big off a deal to repair compared to earlier fords. These have a brake band to stop the clutch like the 87/9700 tractors.
