I have a 1970’s model Yale forklift. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was still dealer support for these older units.

I have linked the Hyster-Yale website. Down in the banner at the bottom is a dealer locator. You can use that to find a Hyster-Yale dealer near you.

There are many independent shops, and dealers of other brands, that will work on them and get parts. Check with forklift dealers in your area.

If you know what you need for parts, there are a number of places on the web that sell forklift parts.

I have a '69 Yale. I agree with looking for a local independent. They know where to get the parts. Many guys that work on other stuff don't like forklifts. I hope that some time will come up this summer for doing a little work on mine. I need to replace wheel cylinders. I don't use it a lot but I use it regularly.

Most forklift manufacturers don’t support lifts that old. Most parts can be found from other sources, but it takes some looking and sometimes you have to get creative.
Are you needing a particular part?

Not at the moment. Getting ready to swap in a rebuilt Ford 172 for the one that’s currently in the lift. I didn’t want to bother the parts department at the nearest dealer which is 40 miles away if I didn’t need to. Thank you for the response.
