    Mounting a #3 mower

    Has anyone mounted a allis #3 mower on a CA allis, with a snap coupler. The mower originally came off a CA with a pin hitch.

    Like my HD store, there is always some one asking if they can help you, but if I go to Lowes you can't find one employee, they seem to scatter like mice and hide.

    I prefer the CA because of the trany and hand clutch but the C would easily pull your rake.

    What's the going rate for a metal roof

    Not sure right now, but my brother in law prices some metal roofing for a project, needless to say the project is on hold, he almost had a heart attack when they gave him the quote.

    D15series2

    My father bought a D 15 series 2 new back in the 1960's and it was factory, but I have seen one just the other day for sale that was snap coupler. Great little tractor, we baled a lot of square bales with that tractor.

    Tool to remove plastic lid on 5 gal. pail?

    As some have stated, they do make a tool for this, we had one at my work since we order lots of water treatment chemicals.

    Seems people just like turning these old Allis's up. I bought some parts years ago from a guy who bragged on his 180, had duals on it and had it turned up so he could pull a 22 foot disk, I asked him about blowing his rear end he just said, hell if it goes, I'll just fix it and put her back...

    Unusual sighting

    Not sure about this one, but a young man here in western Kentucky has a similar rig set up for crop spraying. Seems to do a lot of business in my area.

    Yep, went up here as well, takes months to go down then over night poof, the price goes back up 20 to 30 cents.

    180 diesel looses rpms and power

    My 185 did it, had the pump rebuilt but once installed it started doing it again. The old guy at the shop that rebuilt it said check the shaft that drives the pump. Turned out it was a roll pin that keeps that cog from moving and getting the pump out of time, just something to check...

    You are correct some parts are compatible, but the last time I used a 303 was early 1970's so I don't remember what parts.
