Going to look at D15 1968. Looks well kept w power steering and nice rubber. Wondering if 3 point is factory or a snap coupler conversion? Gas. Is two speed hand clutch reliable? Like that it s last year of model run. Priced about like 1968 new. All comments/observations welcome.

The model you are talking about would be a series 2. It would have headlights on the fenders, a dry type air cleaner, a full length hood decal and yes, could have had a factory 3-point hitch as an OPTION. They were a good tractor. Make sure it doesn't jump out of third gear going down hill when you throttle back to an idle. Make sure the Power Director clutch stays in HIGH side at full throttle. Engines were about a 4,000 hr life span until OH time as a norm. We had one when I was a teenager and it worked well with the D-17 IV we had as a second tractor.

My father bought a D 15 series 2 new back in the 1960's and it was factory, but I have seen one just the other day for sale that was snap coupler. Great little
tractor, we baled a lot of square bales with that tractor.
