    as far as breakin oil I just used 15w 40 Shell Rotella. also I may be wrong in thinking it is using oil I must have checked it too soon after I shut it down.I checked it later and it's allright.

    J, I didn't do anything special to break it in I just ran it around for awhile then after a couple hrs. I took it up some hills in high gear to make it lug a little bit. I haven't taken the exhaust manifold off yet but I will do that.I had the head to the machine shop and he put new ex haust...

    I'm restoring a 1957 super 88 would like to know the correct colors. I know the wheels are read but was wondering about the center grill strip.I've seen pictures where it was red and others where it was green. Also the strip above thegrill that goes over top of the radiator.
