    Farmall 1026 Hydro just purchased for restoration

    Where are you located? I"d love to see some pics of it if you don"t mind. It sounds like you got a good deal if it"s in decent shape. Out of our thirty plus tractors of different brands the 1026 is the first choice to use for just about everything. Good luck.

    Just wondering

    I have improvised by using two pieces of angle iron,one on each side of the extended ram wrap with plenty of duct tape to hold them together. Usually I use one of the factory made cylinder locks from my corn planter or chisel plow.

    Over the last 50 years I have used on the square balers a MM Z, Fordson Major Diesel, MF 85, MF 1100, MF 1155, MF 165, Oliver 1750, White 2-70 and IH 1026 hydro. None of the other tractors came close to the 1026 for hay baling. Each of the others had their strong points but the hay field...

    1130 steering problem

    I posted earlier about a similar problem. Turned out to be spindle bushings were dry. Even when I pumped grease in and it came out the top,the bottom bushings were stiff. Unhook your tie rods and see if you can freely turn wheels left and right. The previous owner was a retired farmer that...

    Front wheels turn just slightly to left or to right in response to turning steering wheel. Disassembled ps assembly and teflon seals need replacement but don't look all that bad.     Super 99 GM Diesel Help Please!!

    Someone new to GM diesels may not be aware of the emergency shutoff. If that has been tripped and not reset the engine won't be getting fuel. Not a good idea to be turning the engine over with the shutoff tripped since you will be without some lubrication functions. Joe

    2-105 hydraulic shutter / bounce

    Ensure that the hydraulic hose couplers are those specified in the owners manual and hooked up as specified in the manual. I had issues until I reversed hoses from the implement. Joe

    I am not aware of new aftermarket manifolds. Is there some reason you don't want a used manifold which is readily available?

    354 Perkins Cold Starting

    We do our hay feeding chores with a 2-105. Below 20 degrees it is nice to have it plugged in(block heater) for an hour or two before starting. Above 20 no problem starting and no ether necessary. We are in Minnesota so we are using a winter blend fuel. Joe
