    Having just adjusted my WD45 valves Book says .010 on warm engine.Also mentioned a diesel setting of .019 on Ex. and .010 on intake."Pulling Tractor" how standred is the engine. ken

    Bob have replyed on the orginal thread. Could find no cracks so installed new head gasket and put the engine together ran the engine for a hour with no leaks. Tomorrow will redo the valves and recheck if water is in the oil.also a compression check. This is a easy engine to repair the sleeves...

    WD-45 antifreeze in oiul

    A note to let all know there was no located cracks and put in a new head gasket and cleaned the engine . then ran for a hour to get warm can see no leaks. The only thing I can locate was loose bolts where the thermostat housing bolted to head and another head bolt to the front of engine also...

    The parts are ordered and same with the blue crack test fluid none in town so ordered a small bottle. Had to explain to the parts man what I was going to do with it. then show him the part # in his book. Don't think he believes me. ken

    Good evening. Thinking have figured out the problem. the head gasket must of blown while using the tractor. Because of the mix of antifreeze and oil in filter and removing the valve cover it was full of foam of the mix. so this sludge looking mix is thru out the engine. Compression check...

    Parked out of weather in tractor shed and wasn't cold enough to freeze. Last used Monday and Tuesday to plow approximate 1 acre type garden . Didn't run long enpough to get over warm. Later today going to start to remove hood and sheet metal to find where the problem is. Thanks. ken

    Thanks for the replys. when checking the oil the dip stick was full of white milky muck. so drained the pan about 3 gal. tnen tried to turn engine over with starter and it locked up. removed the plugs and cyl. 1 and cyl.2 poured water out as engine spun. 3&4 looked dry removed oil filter...
