buy or lease??
Hi, here locally we have 2 welding supply stores - Air Gas & Goss . I've dealt with Air Gas ever since the late 60s & have bought most of my tanks thru them .But I have had good luck at picking up 2 sets to use as spares from individuals needing cash . Radiator mounts
Yes , only 2 bolts holding it . Soak the bolt/nut good . You may need to clamp vice grips to the very end of the bolt & then try breaking the bolt loose , running the nut up to the nut . Then clamp the vice grips to the bolt just above the nut . Now finish removing the nut . You may possibly be...- Ken -Pa

New Plow--First Tine--New Fun
Way ta go . Its neat seeing excitement like this . I wish I had some land I could plow up just to njoy that experience once again . Hadn't plowed for years , so I sold my plows . 8N HOOD
Hi, no Ford didn't design them to tilt . Ferguson made his T-O models to tilt .But an 8n can be made too tilt . Check out Marv Bauhmans website .HTH ! God bless- Ken -Pa

Dearborn Heavy Duty front loader
Depending on what loader it is , it may be too much for an 8n . Loaders are extremely hard on front axles . So if you have plans of mounting any loader on your 8n , you should rebuild the front axle totaly now . Its alot easier to do with a loader off than on . If you can ID the loader & post it...- Ken -Pa

C-CLAMP repair
You"re quite welcome . Just be careful not to weld the nut to the screw of the clamp tho . Another way you could try is to take a nut, larger than the ball size , split it with a cut-off disc , then bevel the cut edges of both pieces so that you can fillet weld them back together around the... -

If you're using the standard throttle system , there should be a spring attached at the bottom the lever then to a hole in the bellhousing . I think John Smith shows it on his website .Your NH dealer has them . I also questioned that until I studied the manual better . A good manual to have is... -

More Seat Time - 8N JD 494 Planter (video)
Your little N sounded great . As much gardening we did when I was a kid , not once had I seen one of those in use . My Dad made a row marker device out of wood with metal shovels . Hill on Muddy Driveway
How about some ( what we call ) 3A gravel ? It's a gravel about the size of baseballs & tennis balls . Once the clay gets wet & this gravel sets in , it should make for a better base . Smaller 2B gravel will spin out too much . HTH ! God bless, Ken
