    FEL hydraulic pump

Rebuilding it because it builds very little pressure. Seals are good, bearings are good. Gears have worn into the end plate, thus fluid bypasses and does not build pressure.

    FEL hydraulic pump

Thanks... building a bracket would not be a problem. So I need to look at one around 10GPM. The pump that is on it has the Ford script on it and is a gear pump. Floating brass end plate is worn and the spring washer is pretty weak.

Have a 40 something 2n still 6volt with a jungle gym FEL, the original Ford pump is getting pretty weak and havent been able to find the rebuild parts for it so I think it"s time to put on a new pump. Does anyone know what GPM would be a close replacement size. You have helped me keep this one...

    2N Starting Symptoms

I had the same problem with starting my 2n last year. Yes pull starting works well but you have to hit the start button when you let out the clutch or the rear wheels just slide, 2nd gear works best. I also found that by turning over the engine with the key off for a few revolutions and then...

steel or soft material head gaskets

I have used both on a 2n and prefer the soft gaskets. Remember and this is critical to re-torque the head bolts once the engine has been started and warmed up. Once warm the gasket will blow again very quickly if not re-torqued. Don't ask how I know this..

    Gas Line for 53 Jubilee

My 2n had a shut off instead of the sediment bowl when I got it, big mistake as the valve lets bunches of junk into the carb. I am changing it back to the sediment bowl.

    coolant from manifold std hole

Tom the studs for the head and manifold are holes through to the water jacket. Coolant leaking out would be normal. You need a high temperature sealant and put the stud back in, no problem. You did not put coolant into the cylinder, it just ran out of the hole. Seal it up and no problems.

    2n finally running

I posted awhile back with a 2n that would not start after replacing the head gasket. Thanks to a couple posts by Bruce and reading the archives I got her going. Ran it for about three hours cleaning the horse pens, has a FEL, it ran ok but was low on power, so I shut her off and advanced the...

    2n won't start

Posted the other day that I had a 2n, 6volt system that would not start after new head gasket and carb work. Bruce gave some good information so I got out the buffer and cleaned everything up. Still would not start so I hooked up the truck and pulled it....started in three feet. Starts now...

    2n wont start

Oh forgot to mention. Tried the 12 volt jump to the starter, it did not spin any faster therefore I think I have starter issues.

    2n wont start

Thanks, checked all of that, been reading this forum for awhile. Spark plug jumps a good spark, orange though not blue as often mentioned. Just did the distributor not too long ago and used the information I found here to help, it was running and starting good until the gasket went.
