Stalls going uphill
Yes. It’s fixed. Took it apart. Wriggle it. Double checked floats were level and true. Replaced the little pin that goes through back of float/hinges it. That work. As the pros here say: 1. Do you have spark? 2. Do you have fuel? Work from there. -

Yes to line routing. Fuel outlet is on opposite side of carb. New fuel bowl. Tank was completely cleaned out. Power washed out. Dried and sloshed alcohol to soak up any moisture. Half full tank. Gas is 4.20 a gallon here in NH. Put 5 Gal in. Have not filled it up. -

Hi. Rebuilt my 53 NAA. Runs great except going uphill. Stalls out. Get it on level ground. Starts and runs. Go uphill in Reverse. No stall. Understand that is a float adjustment issue. What is the best method to adjust the floats? How do I know if I have the correct size floats. It’s a MS T428... -

I was grinding on it last night. Worried that I would remove too much material/fail the intake port. What did you use? I have a file and mini grinding stone on a drill. Thanks for the response. One of those, “You got to be kidding me” moments. -

Hi, old manifold cracked. Replaced it with new from here. Issue: my carb won’t fit. 53 Jubilee. 428 Marvel Schebler. The studs on the carb are not spaced far enough apart to get a nut on. The manifold fit but the carb. What did I do wrong? Is there a fix? Let me guess, buy a new carb? Bummed. 😫 -

Correct. Not the head, rod, etc. just the external bolts. Tractor lived by the ocean air. Lots or rust, crust, ugly. Wanted to put fresh hardware on it. -

Not a farmer. Dumb question. However, where is the best place to buy standard replacement bolts? Hardware store? Automotive store? Redid the head on my 53 NAA and putting it back together. I want to replace the rusty/crusty bolts with new. Where do you get those? Thank you.
