Does 600 governor problem
I went out this morning and found the friction ring finger tight. A few turns with wrench (didn’t tighten too much) and it seems to run as it should. Thanks Justin, for the great tip. Saves me a lot of grief! -

Shaun Wallace— it has a single cast aluminum pipe going down from the pump to the oil pan. Is the conversion that I may have to do some day the one where you have to unweld and reweld the pipes to a flange kit? Sounds hard to do. And yes it is a 640, not a Jubilee or a NAA. -

Anybody remember walking
No tractors up in the mountains where the family and relatives lived. Mom or Dad would put on a strap over their shoulder and back and walk behind the mules. No one could afford a tractor or fuel.- krep

It wound up being the new starter he installed a while back. He took it off, shook it, put it back on, and it started right up. I suspect the terminal for the cable wasn?t right. Thanks- krep

Ok Old. I did as you said; no spark with points open and nothing with them closed. So I got my 6-12v test light and put the coil wire back on. With key on, it lit up on both sides of the coil and on moving side of open points. With points closed it lit all the way thru to the stationary side of...
