    Replacing PTO shaft

I just did this about a month ago. I didn't want to run adapters with the ORC. I just backed it onto my trailer and left the front wheels on the ground. Breaking the seal and getting the bearing housing to pop loose was the hardest but once that was loose and i was able to get a screw driver...

    Wet ignition

Guys, I appreciate the comments, but since I already have all the gaskets in place, I am curious how the actually seal the electronics. I'll admit I didn't think about dielectric grease because I've only used it for bulbs on my old trucks. My fan is strong and it pulled the water in with me...

    Wet ignition

Went out and mowed today. Got the 2N all dusty and dirty. Got it home and decided to hose it off while it was running. Not even 2 seconds with the spray on the screen I made for the front and it just died. Im assuming the fan pulled water into distributor or coil area and it just died. It...

    2N shifter pin

If I was more than a garage welder with a MIG, Id give it a try. But at this point in time, I dont want to tear down half the tractor to take it to a professional.

    2N shifter pin

Sorry, I guess I edited too much of my reply earlier. No, it doesnt grind unless I push the shifter to the left in neutral. Otherwise it still works just fine and shifts fine. I just know that sometime in the future, its going to have to be repaired. I did find a drawing somewhere that...

    2N shifter pin

So heres a pic of my wear. Im not sure about tearing into it and trying to get it welded up any time soon, but I know at some point I may have to. There is no hole on the other side of the top cover like Ive seen in a few pictures. This post was edited by Krosati on 08/27/2021 at 05:48 pm.

    2N shifter pin

Anyone have pics of the shifter, the pin, and the notch in the trans hat? Mines all worn but it still works. Im just curious how worn it is and if I can somehow fix this down the road. I was just looking at it while putting a new boot on.

    2N toolbox question

Tim, thanks for that info. I figured DC was a major supplier for sheet metal parts since Im on his site a lot for my 63 & 64 F100 trucks. I did notice that in the Jan 46 Ford-Ferguson parts book that the tool box 9n-17004-B is illustrated as a canted lid design. Has anyone ever seen...

Can you elaborate on the awkward part of opening the lid? Does the lid hit the hood?

    2N toolbox question

I posted a few years ago that I bought this mutt. https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1369755&highlight= Shes been running great and Ive added a few new parts here and there. Im wanting to add a toolbox in the original location and was eyeing the YT box offered. I...

    Just my $0.02.

Next up on the list is to replace the pivot pin and bushing. I just hope the axle isn’t too wallowed out.

    Just my $0.02.

Went mowing this weekend and was beat up by some bumpsteer. Wasn’t too sure what to do so after a few tips in the web were found, I decided to give it a try. Haven’t driven it yet, but it sure did remove a lot of steering wheel movement.

    Howdy from Texas

Well, I took it out for a workout at the hunting lease today. Mowed about 10 acres of scrub brush, Johnson grass and what not. It ran great. However, the bump steer was atrocious. Anybody ever put a dampener on the steering?
