    concave in a 72 All Crop Harvester

    My 72 was in bad shape, took the header off and pulled the cylinder. They needed work anyway. You can move the separator as you drill or grind out the rivets. I had a local welder tack the new concave in. It is a lot of work. Replace everything that needs it while you are in there.

    Easy way, click the pto switch into position as soon as the engine catches when starting. Not helpful for equipment, good for engaging loader pump. Safer for equipment: reduce rpm as low as possible, disengage both pto and foot clutch, wait 30 seconds. It will only grind a bit when you...

    Tractor tires are made to pull forward. The tractor is designed to pull from hitch. The tractor is weighted to pull from the hitch. You may be able to pull safely from bucket, you will get better pull from the hitch.

    Was it in neutral when you pulled the shifter? When you pull the side plate, the forks move the gears. Detente is when they lock into place.
