    Has anyone installed a vertical exhaust stack on their 8N ? I have a 52 8n and thinking about a stack without muffler. Is it super loud? Does it just bolt on either the clamp coming off the manifold? Good idea or not worth it?

    Good information I'm pretty sure my left rear seal is bad and probably the hub and axel shaft. Learning a lot about this tractor of mine mostly bad news but fun to work on.

    I'm changing the brake shoes on my 52 8N. On the left side the whole hub just slipped off the spindle on the right side it won't budge. I don't think it's supposed to come right off like that. What gives?

    Okay well that makes me feel a little better. I used the sae 20 because I looked it up in the owners manual and that is what it specified. I think I'm still going to change the oil to get something a little thicker for the old engine and compression purposes. I will research those old posts as well.

    I'm running a straight sae 20 non detergent oil in my 52 8N. With colder weather coming what would be good to use. I've heard rotella 15w 40? Isn't that for diesels? I'm in northern Illinois. What's the best engine oil choice?
